The idea of this blog originated when I was working at Cisco. Life was so beautiful with a caring and a nurturing husband, dream job and pregnancy. I have to admit that I was a very bad cook at that time. I used to make the same old sambar, kara kuzhambu, korma, Keerai kuzhambu huh!! As I was approaching my third trimester, I was entering into an imaginary fear of my daughter questioning me " What mamma, you don't know how to cook". That's when I started this blog which I initially planned to have it as a repository of all the recipes I learn and try. There was no planning of sharing this with the outside world except my family members. Even though I was showing interest in learning the recipe, there were many things that I feel now, I should have paid more attention. I didn't have many utensils nor I had a clue on Photography or fancy presentation.I was so impatient in wording them too.Why should I word them neatly? it's my Scribble space after all!! That was my thought at that time :)
I was very adamant that I would design my own blog template rather than using the existing ones. But as I went deeper and deeper in learning about website creation, I figured out it's a ocean and I'm not going to reach anywhere anytime soon. So, I dropped that idea and utilized a template from Blogger. I customized them according to my needs especially the header and the recipe gallery panel.
The header, navigation buttons, "No Image" thumbnail and the recipe gallery panel scroll were all created by me. Each and every bit of this blog was a big learning curve for me at that time. I learnt everything from scratch. The last unfinished part I was working on was when I click on a recipe thumbnail, the entire page refreshes rather than just the recipe display refresh. I have not been posting anything since 2010 except for the "Funny Moments" Page. I may revive this blog on the looks and may add some fancy stuff in the future, but I'm sure I won't be posting any recipes.
